Originally from Western Australia, Taryn has called the Sunshine Coast home since 2007 and joined the YIB team in 2025 as an Account Executive and broker. With over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, she brings a wealth of knowledge and practical insight to every client she works with.
Taryn’s path into insurance began unexpectedly at just 17 when she landed a role at Terri Scheer — before she even knew what insurance really was. After gaining experience as an underwriter in Sydney, she transitioned into broking in 2008, building a career supporting small-to-medium enterprises across a wide range of industries. Her clients value her for her strong advocacy, down-to-earth approach, and ability to make complex insurance matters straightforward and manageable.
Known for her professionalism, dedication, and sense of humour, Taryn approaches every client engagement with a combination of hard work and genuine care. She takes the time to understand each business’s unique needs and ensures that her clients are supported with tailored solutions and clear advice.
Outside of work, Taryn enjoys spending time at the beach, catching up at the local pub, and making memories with her three children. She’s also a devoted dog owner to Mabel, who often joins her for walks along her favourite Sunshine Coast spots.
